I’m so glad you found your way to Deb’s Quill. I’m Deborah Sarty and this is my cozy corner of the internet, where I share the stories and characters that keep me smiling, laughing, and sometimes crying right along with them.
Here, you’ll meet my creative selves:
Short Stories:
I write short fiction about the moments in life that change us in ways we didn’t see coming. Some will make you cry, others will make you laugh, but you’ll always walk away feeling something.
I’d love to share these stories with you. Here is a synopsis of a few of the stories you’ll find on the Short Stories page. Follow the link below to read these, and others, for free.
A Line in Her Yearbook follows a mature woman as she revisits a time in her youth when a different choice might have altered the course of her life.
Across the Divide follows an older man who discovers that sometimes you can wait too long to mend fences with those you love the most.
The Letter arrives 35 years too late. This story explores how those affected cope with the revelation it contains.
Kids’ Books:
I write children’s stories that begin as special gifts for my nieces and nephews, filled with warmth, imagination, and subtle life lessons. I’m in good company, as some of the world’s most loved children’s stories began that way, too.
Some will make your kids laugh out loud. Others will thrill their imaginations. All of them will be treasured.
I’d love to share these stories with you. Here is a synopsis of a few of the stories you’ll find on the Kids’ Books page. Follow the link below to read them for free.
